ANCIENT CHINA

China is the oldest living civilization, not only in Asia, but the entire world. It is probably more than 5000 years old. There are many places to go in China, - fortresses, temples, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall. The timber for the ceilings of the Forbidden City came from Vietnam.
Long ago, in China, they didn't have bronze, but they soon discovered how to make iron tools and weapons which their big armies used all over Asia.
The Chinese are famous for trading, and for herbs , medicine and navigation. They have given us a lot of knowledge about herbs and ways of natural healing.

The Chinese emperors were very interested in knowledge and learning and so they used the best brains in China to develop knowledge in astronomy, mapping, agriculture and sea voyages. They even sent people around the world long before the Europeans. Zheng He is the most famous Chinese explorer and he even came to Indonesia.
