Maria's Birthday Party
Saturday morning, early, Mira's friend Maria called her. The yellow telephone rang, prrrring!!
Maria asked Mira if she could help her blow up her balloons because the next day was Maria's birthday. Mira knew that Maria was planning a big party for lots of schoolfriends, but she hadn't told anyone, because it was Mira's birthday.
Mira said,"Great, that would be a big help and fun as well." Mira felt good. She could tell Maria her plans.
"Why don't you drop by around 10?" she said.
Maria told her mother and father about the party.
In the morning Mira rang Maria's door bell. Ting Tong!
"Come in!" said Maria and she was so happy to see Mira and that she had kept her promise.
They set about blowing up the balloons and writing cards.
The went to the shop to get some candles, cakes and other stuff.
All this time Mira said nothing to her other friends about the party to her other friends when they rang.
Finally, it was the big day - Maria's birthday. Everyone came and she got lots of presents. Maria helped Maria open some of them and they became even better friends after that.
