CHINA

CHINA is the oldest living civilization in the world. China is a vast country and famous for the Great Wall which was built to keep out invaders from the north. The Chinese people believe that there is a holy and an evil spirit. China's currency is the yuan. Coins were first made by the Qin dynasty. They were square with a hole in the middle, so that you could carry them on a string.
Chinese witing developed about 1,500 years B.C. They are famous for trading, business and astronomy as wall as Kung Fu. They wrote the Chinese language on turtle shells and later, characters were painted with a brush and ink onto paper or engraved onto metal or bone.

The Great Wall was built around 2000 or more years ago, by the first emperor and it was about 1000kms long.
They invented fireworks too, little rockets, the wheelbarrow and the compass for navigation. They also invented medicine and acupuncture, needles, clocks and paper. They also built up a very powerful army and navy.
Emperor Qin was the first emperor and was emperor from the age age of 13. He loved knowledge and he built the Forbidden City.
Now, China is the world's fastest growing economy.
