WHAT'S A THINKER?

William The Thinker


Once, a long time ago somewhere, there was a little boy named William. He was smart. And one day, his friend Ben,came by his house to play.
They played with a little, red, rubber ball. But, Ben didn't understand the game. Soon William didn't know what to do either.
It was then that William met an angel. She was small. She sat on his shoulder and whispered in William's ear, "Be a thinker," she said, "and figure it out, William."
So, William began to think. He got an idea! He began to teach Ben, and soon Ben began to play the ball quickly. By the time the week end was over, they were both very good players. It was time to go back to school.
At school, they had a quiz, but William had forgotten to study. He cried., But, the small angel said, "Think William, think!"
He tried his best and when the teacher gave the papers back, he saw that he'd got 100% for his test!. The teacher said that Willaim was a "thinker." All his friends clapped loud for him!
At lunch time, the teacher said, "You should join the "Thinkers' Competition" in April or December, because now, you are a thinker!
"I'll give it a try," said William.
At the competition, the judge asked the students to do a test without any study. William saw how hard the test was and he asked the small angel for help. "But William, " she said. "You're a thinker! Just figure it out for yourself!"
And that's what he did. William got 100% again and he won First Prize!
"I really am a thinker!" he said, looking over his shoulder for a second.
